Indamixx Laptop is the first pre-configured music netbook, running linux for USD$499. Not too shabby for those that don't want to spend heaps on their road machine.

Steinberg has announced the release of their latest installment of Cubase, announcing 4.5 and 4.5.2 for Cubase Studio. Improvements include better Mac OS X support, ASIO Support and some cool new VST features.
