From September 9th through September 30th, Beatport.com and Beatportal.com will offer music fans the chance to remix one of Matthew Dear's latest tracks under his Audion alias, 'Billy Says Go'. You can get both free and premium paid stems. You can check it out over at beatport.

Time Unlimited and german sample & sound design company Ueberschall are launching their "Trance ID 2" remix contest. Any remixes which are based on Mike Koglins sample kit from "Trance ID Volume 2" can enter the competition. The kit may be downloaded free of charge from a number of portals such as www.ueberschall.com and www.tracktracker.com .

Ableton has teamed up once again with Dancetracks Digital for another first class remix contest. Remix the track "Dum" from the The Martin Brothers "Rocket Surgery EP", the latest hot release from San Francisco's dirtybird.

Public Enemy, M-Audio and Obey—challenge you to remix an a cappella version of the critically acclaimed Public Enemy track “Harder Than You Think” (from their latest album How You Sell Soul to a Soulless People Who Sold Their Soul). Chuck D and Johnny Juice of Public Enemy will judge the entries and determine the winner of a complete home studio setup from M-Audio.

Trent Reznor continues to stick it to the big record labels giving away the latest Nine Inch Nails album for free download, with no for paid options available as yet. Not only is the album available for free, you can get the complete session files to make your own remixes as well. You will need to register with remix.nin.com to get access to those files, but its free!

Ben Seigel announces a remix competition for the track "Borders" a dance/rock tune off his forth coming album. You have to send an email to them to get the remix parts, but the licensing is a lot more lax compared to some other remix comps.
