M-Audio is sponsoring the Dean Guitar Contest where you can win lots of cool kit. In cooperation with M-Audio and the Dimebag Darrell estate, Dean is inviting all shredders to record and submit videos of their craziest chops. The video entries will be judged by online viewers and a panel of Dean’s most accomplished musicians—including Matt Heafy and Corey Beaulieu (Trivium), Vinnie Paul (Pantera), Eric Peterson (Testament) and Tom Maxwell (Hell Yeah).

M-Audio announces the release of their new firewire audio interface. Replacing the 410 the 610 comes with Octane powered Preamp technology. The device looks pretty sweet and I'd love to get my hands on one.

Public Enemy, M-Audio and Obey—challenge you to remix an a cappella version of the critically acclaimed Public Enemy track “Harder Than You Think” (from their latest album How You Sell Soul to a Soulless People Who Sold Their Soul).
