The highly anticipated fourth studio album from Hospital Records frontman, Tony Colman aka London Elektricity is here.
Having already reviewed the excellent "Attack Ships on Fire / Eastern Dream" in June, I was very much looking forward to hearing what else LE had to offer -- and boy, was I not disappointed.
If you happen to listen to the great Hospital Podcast, you would have already heard Tony drip feeding us with teasers such as "Bare Religion", a rather subdued, low-end piano driven song with a pius-like vocal sample, "All Hell is Breaking Loose" check out the video here, "Sat Nav" a funky little number and "Uska", which has some of the nicest, tightly produced drum loops.
However, the standout tracks on this LP are definitely "Just One Second" featuring the beautiful vocal talent Elsa Hedberg in her debut and the toe-tapping goodness of "Maybe I was Wrong".
Along with providing the vocals on "Eastern Dream" and "All Hell is Breaking Loose", award winning Jazz vocalist/pianist Liane Carroll drops bucket loads of soul on "This Dark Matter" and that feeling of floating on clouds with "Point of No Return".
Syncopated City is out now on CD, Digital Download and Limited Edition 4 x Gatefold Vinyl. So, what are you waiting for ... grab your copy today.

DJ Sikosis loves a good beat -- especially if it's accompanied by a fat bass. When he's not mixing, reviewing or listening to music, his other interests are paintball, gaming and music production.
