For the first release on this new label Christopher Lawrence has teamed up with psy-trance master John 00 Fleming to bring us Beyond the Limit. Following on from their first hit 'Attention' released on JOOF this release is sure to get you moving. The release contains 4 mixes including the original and deep mixes while on the remix we've got Nicholas Bennison and Jay Selway.
I haven't been a fan of pure fast trance for quite a while so it was a pleasant surprise to find a full blown trancer that I wanted to spin. The original remix is dripping with the sound of both producers. The pace and feel of the track makes you want to just get up and start raving on the spot. The deep remix falls on the lighter side of psy trance where you can clearly hear the j00f sound coming through.
Nicholas Bennison continues to surprise me with yet another tasty remix that's fast, full on psy trance. I like the extra energy he's managed to pull out of the sound while leaving the original melody intact. I could see this really getting the dance floor moving at 5am.
Jay Selway has served up a slight variation on the track that gives it a little more of a festival feel. I like how he's changed a few sections of the track to really brighten it up. The remix is slightly slower than the others, but only just.
If you're a trance fan and love your hard and fast goodness this release is for you. I dropped the Original mix in the radio show and it was received well. I haven't found the time nor the place to drop the other remixes but I'll sure be carrying them with me with the hope of getting a chance to ramp it up in the early hours. 'Beyond the Limit' is out soon on Pharmacy Music through all good download stores.
Digitalchild loves his dance music. If he's not talking about it, he's spinning it and if he's not spinning it, he's listening to it. He is also the guy that makes the light go on and off.
