Pendulum - In Silico

16th May, 2008

Aussie Drum n Bass legendary Perth lads are back ... back to their roots and taking it further with a more rock-fuelled dnb LP. It's no surprise they would go in this direction quite frankly, considering they use to be metal band until they heard "Messiah" by Conflict (Vampire Records) in 1999.

In a recent interview with BBC Radio 1's Fabio, the boys said they felt they would have sold out if they had done another "Hold Your Colour". Whilst, there are a number of tracks that have a rock-like feel, they still have their Pendulum signature sonic Drum n Bass sound.

It also seems to be paying off,  "Propane Nightmares" has been their biggest hit to date, peaking at #9 in the UK Singles Charts after receiving substantial airplay from BBC Radio 1.

"In Silico" (Warner Music Group) is out now and it'll be very interesting to see how the dnb scene reacts, personally I'd like to hear some good dnb remixes of these tunes, or is that just me being selfish ?
