The 10th release on Vacation Records out of Australia is an electro infused delight from label owner Bass Kleph and new comer Anthony Paul. This new team have paired up to deliver the catchy release Helium. Along with the original mix, Mowgli , Kid Dub and Karton have floated a remix each to complete the package.
The original mix has a great bass line and some chopped up synths that give the track a very "Mr Ozio - flat beat's" feel. The vocals are evidently the product of a fun afternoon in the studio with both the boys taking turns to suck down some helium and record their sweet rhymes. Every time I hear the voices I have a little giggle which is refreshing. This mix will definitely get play time on the show and on the road.
Mowgli's Less is more remix takes a bit more of a tech / minimal approach to the tune and really highlights the awesome samples in this release. Kid dub's remix show's why he's such a favorite DJ with the likes of John Aquaviva, Mark Knight, Steve Lawler and many more. While the Karton remix piles on a few more kilo's of bass and funk to show what they're made of.
This release is getting support from all over the globe and will continue to build up steam over the next couple of months so look out for it. I love the cheeky vocal samples and would have liked to be there to watch this track unfold. If you need a track to put a smile on your face give this one a spin, it's available at all good digital download stores now.
Digitalchild loves his dance music. If he's not talking about it, he's spinning it and if he's not spinning it, he's listening to it. He is also the guy that makes the light go on and off.
