Hard hitting beats are back with DJ Hazard's "Machete Bass EP". Four tunes to select from "Machete" using samples from the faux movie from Grindhouse (YouTube: Machete - if you don't know what I mean) and as hard hitting as they come, "Trouble Maker"'s sweeping bass, "Killers Don't Die"'s driven synth (also featured in Andy C's Nightlife 4) to "Cowards Beware"'s haunting Defender samples. Available now on Playaz .
Music has always been
a large part of DJ Hazard’s life with his early years spent listening to reggae, hip-hop and soul. On leaving school,
Hazard began working at Basement
Beats, a local record shop and it was there he earned the money and the
skills, whilst collecting a healthy pile of promos. Although DJing was
a dream come true to Hazard, he quickly
realised that in order to breakthrough (and for music to be his
vocation),
he had to making the beats as well as playing them. Although he’d never
played a musical instrument in his life, the
production process came very natural to him and he began cutting
dubplates and had a slew of successful releases.
After
the 2004 smash ‘World Of Darkness’, it was believed it would be a very
hard for
Hazard to follow up, however, Hazard has continued to blow that theory
to bits. The tracks on "Machete Bass EP" are where it's at in hard drum
n bass, whilst also being a homage to movies and video games.
