Degrees of Motion - Shine On Remix Competition

20th December, 2007

Written by: SJ Regan ( sjregan).

Cayenne Recordings and TrackItDown are offering everyone the chance to remix the house classic 'Shine On' by Degree of Motion.

Perhaps one of the greatest uplifting moments in dance music history Shine On features the outstanding vocals of Biti, coupled with ‘that’ piano riff making this one of the biggest house records of all time.

So this is a call out to all producers and remixers, no matter what level you're at, fancy chopping the vocal and riff about, injecting a bit more bosh or stripping it right back to the percussion? Do what you like, the more creative the better, but keep it house!

The winning entry will form part of the Cayenne release which will be launched at the Miami Winter Music Conference in March 2008, plus the winner will also receive £100 in sample packs from TrackItDown.

You can download the parts for around $US 5.00, but you had better be quick as the competition closes 31st December.
