Mitiska and Medina - After Hours Ensemble

8th November, 2007

Currve RecordingsCurvve recordings has delivered yet another great track from the duo Mitiska and Medina with their progressive sounding release After Hours Ensemble with remixes from Emjae and David West. The original mix has a punchy bass line combining a few vocal stabs with an underlying catchy melody that easily gets stuck in your head. I've played this towards the beginning of a set and it starts the journey nicely.

Emjae from Boston is on the remix where he notches a few BPM onto the track adding his dirty tech/electro sound to it. If I heard this on the dance floor I'd start doing some kind of crazy march on the spot. The grinding bass is what really sets this remix apart from the original so it would be right at home in the middle of a fat electro set.

David West has been releasing some great remixes and originals tracks out on the circuit and this remix is no different. He's added a few subtle changes opening up the track to give it a tasty progressive trance feel. I've played this remix a few times already and have really enjoyed the sound. It has a little more emphasis on the break downs with a nice trancey sythn sound that builds you back into the beat and keeps you moving.

Having already supported the original and David West remixes, I'll definitely be throwing down the Emjae mix in future sets. After Hours Ensemble is yet another great release from Curvve Recordings and I encourage you to get your hands on a copy of this when its released in all good download stores.
