Anjunabeats Celebrates their 100th Release

5th November, 2007

Written by: Digitalchild ( dchild).

Above and Beyond is celebrating their labels 100th release by holding a series of 'Anjunabeach' parties across the globe kicking off at the birth place of the modern rave scene, the legendary beach in Goa, India.

Starting on the 28th of December 2007 and bringing one of the largest dance parties India has ever seen with close to 20,000 people in attendance, Above and Beyond will be playing a 4hr set and supported by some of the labels hottest artists including Super8 & DJ Tab, Dutch tech genius Stephen J. Kroos and Australia’s rising star Jaytech. The event will be televised and co-promoted by MTV India and will also be broadcasted on Above and Beyonds syndicated radio show 'Trance Around the World" on radio stations across the globe.

From Goa, the next stop on the tour is Ipanema Beach in Rio de Janiero, Brazil, on New Year’s Eve. This event attracts over 1 million people and will be broadcast live on Brazilian National TV. Dates are planned through March for Australia, Asia, Europe as well as Cancun in Mexico.

As apart of the celebrations, Above and Beyond will be running a competition to win a trip to the launch party in Goa. Above and Beyond will also be working with all local promoters to minimize their carbon footprint of the events, which is a great green example to lead and I congratulate Above and Beyond for taking these environmentally friendly steps.
