The second release on Captured Digital comes from David Biczok better known as Soliquid who you may have heard around the traps recently releasing some great progressive and electro sounds, but his latest track "Music Is For Rich People"Â is something completely different. When I saw the artist I was expecting a nice progressive track with elements of electro in it, but I was pleasantly surprised to hear this very industrial tech trance sound. The track is dripping with interesting effects that are reminiscent of work from BT. The breakdown delivers the melodic sound you hear so often in trance these days, and the first time I heard the track I thought it was a little out of place, but it has since grown on me and I'm really starting to dig it. The track has a deep and pumping bass line that should get you grooving.
On top of the original we've got remixes from the American duo Cerf & Mitiska, new to the scene Mat Zo, Sunny Lax from Anjunabeats and David's own Belmondo Mix.
Cerf & Mitiska have brought their taste of progressive house to the mix removing some of the vocal elements to highlight the amount of work that has gone into the underlying layers of this track, great to near the start of your set.
Next on the remix is Mat Zo; I've really been enjoying stuff from Mat lately and this remix is no exception. The beat kicks off the track nicely with a bit of a progressive feel to it. Leaving this remix on the more trancier side of things you can hear the atmosphere with a few punchy elements to beef up the track.
Sunny Lax opens this track up delivering a driving trance number ready to get anyone moving. It starts off with a nice synth moving into a refreshing break down loaded with reverbs that engage the listener with their surroundings. This is the kind of track that I'd play in the middle of an extended trance set.
Soliquid serves us up a nice euphoric remix that is sure to get your hands in the air. With a familiar rolling base line and a dashing of piano the track really brings home the pure trance sound. If you want to get the kids on the dance floor moving, this is the track to drop.
With yet another great release from Captured Digital that's sure to suit quite a large variety of journey's, Music Is For Rich People is something I'd recommend for anyone's CD Case. I know I'll be dropping the Mat Zo, Cerf & Mitiska and the Belmondo remixes in my sets in the coming weeks so look out for them on DanceNode Radio. Get ready to snap this release up on the 28th of October in all good download and record stores.
Digitalchild loves his dance music. If he's not talking about it, he's spinning it and if he's not spinning it, he's listening to it. He is also the guy that makes the light go on and off.
