The latest Mondo Records release comes from a relative new comer to the scene Chris Bream under his alias BRM, you might know him as half of A/B Project. He delivers a nice track sure to suit any trance fueled experience. Maartian Hercules is on the b-side remix under his Fa Kin Super alias that accompanies the Original Mix and BRM's The Other One Mix.
The original has a typical trance opening that starts with a fast kick combined with a nice vocal stab that echoes into full swing. As the track progresses the first break down is short and sweet bringing you back into the beat after just a few bars. The synths have a very big room feeling to them, reminiscent of a rave at its peak with the lasers darting all over the dance floor. It's a track I'd play during the middle of a heavy trance set.
Bream delivers the second remix in the pack with BRM's The Other One Mix. The opening of this track is much like the original with the fast paced beat immediately ramping the track up to full speed. The vocals are a little more prevalent in this version with a more calming, emotional undertone. An extended breakdown opens up the vocals and would allow the DJ to give his fans a well deserved rest in the middle of a pumping set. This remix would be great for a more euphoric set.
The b-side remix from Maartian Hercules under his alias of Fa Kin Super brings a slightly different approach to the track that is heavier on the percussion with the vocals being a lot more pronounced. Unlike the other two versions of this track, I'd play this earlier in a set due to the build up feel the percussion brings. The breakdowns are very focused on the ambient elements that bring home a well rounded remix.
Overall I find that all three mixes would find a home in one of my sets be it big room set, a driving trance set or helping me deliver a lovely journey set. I'm finding that the Fa Kin Super mix is the one thats growing on me the most.
Be sure to pick up a copy of this track released on the 29th of October on Mondo Records in all good download and record stores.
Digitalchild loves his dance music. If he's not talking about it, he's spinning it and if he's not spinning it, he's listening to it. He is also the guy that makes the light go on and off.
