Captured Digital 001Whenever I get a new promo in the mail I'm excited to see what's new, however it's not every day I get to review the track that got me into DJing. I have to say that getting this promo pack from Captured has made my day. I'm sitting on the bus with my laptop out listening to all these delicious remixes chair raving to everyone's amusement.

The first release on Captured's new sub-label Captured Digital is a classic trance anthem from a few years back including some great new remixes from some familiar names including Maor Levi, Dennis Sheppard, Marc Damon and Soliquid.

Maor Levi has freshened up the sound while holding off the vocals at the beginning that teases the listener with the echos of Carrie's voice and brings home a great remix.

Dennis Sheperd delivers a punchy house mix with a great bass line and a techy lead.

Marc Damon gives us a driving mix with a fresh approach to the track. The rolling bass line catches the listener's attention with the vocals laid nicely over the top.

Soliquid brings us a jungle sound on a more progressive note with a hint of an 1980's arcade game.

Mike Shiver brought us this remix a few years back. It has a great composition of melody and vocals. Its the classic vocal trance track that gets everyone's hands in the air. When I first heard this remix I thought to myself, it's time to start learning to DJ.

Elevation pulls out a slight hint of a jungle feel at the beginning moving into a nice rolling progressive bass line. It's got a nice floating feeling to it that would be great to listen to on a long drive in the car.

Of these remixes I have to say that the Mike Shiver mix is still my favorite but I will certainly pulling out the Dennis Sheperd mix for my more funky house sets. Captured continues to impress me with consistently amazing releases and I look anxiously forward to their next.

Hurrican (The Remixes) is out on the 3rd of September in all your favorite music stores so be sure to grab a copy, the catalog number to look for is CAPDIG001.
