I have to admit I've been a bit slack with getting around to listening to our promo's for the last week due to all the things DanceNode is working on. The fifth release from AVA Blue (formerly AVA Digital) has delivered a nice melodic trance track. A warm bass line rolls under the track with a hint of piano, overlaid with a shadowy vocal. This combination brightens up the track giving it a very open air atmosphere feel to it. It's a track I'd play at an outdoor event where you could see the beach or a sea of faces. A great track that could make its way into a variety of different sets.

The B-Side (in old school terms) Mediterranea by Mike Mikhjian has a very different feel to it. A punchy bass line builds the track up to full speed while a few well placed guitar riffs accentuate the otherwise bland break down to bring the track together nicely. The overall feel of the track makes me want to drop this on Sunday afternoon at a beer garden where its not too overpowering or noticeable to take focus off the conversation, but delivers some great background music.

I have to admit that I like Bay breeze more than Mediterranea and so keep an eye out for it on DanceNode Radio. It's out on promo now and will be available in all good digital download stores in early December.
