The guys over at Ableton have just released the Orchestral Instrument Collection bringing the symphony sound to Live. It consists of four sampled instrument collections that make up an orchestra including strings, brass, woodwinds and percussion. All were sampled at different velocities and articulations to make up a massive 24GB of samples ready for use.

Tom Whitwell over at Music thing has asked his readers to add to his Google map of all bricks and motar stores still standing in your local area. The aim is to have a list of all physical stores around the world. So get on there and add your local stores, I have.

Trent Reznor continues to stick it to the big record labels giving away the latest Nine Inch Nails album for free download, with no for paid options available as yet. Not only is the album available for free, you can get the complete session files to make your own remixes as well.
